Sheralynne Merritt, CA

As an experienced public practitioner, Sheralynne is fully aware that clients demand and need more from their accountant than just number crunching. They expect sound business advice, solutions that work, forward thinking results. Sheralynne delivers this and more with integrity and commitment.

Sheralynne is a Principal of EPR Coquitlam. She obtained a CA designation in 1991 after graduating from SFU and spent a number of years with two of the largest CA firms in Canada before joining EPR in 1997. While with these firms, she moved steadily up the ranks in progressively senior audit positions managing a number of large internal audits for the BC Government and the telecommunications industry during this time.

Sheralynne plays a lead role on the EPR audit team where she is responsible for the management of audits, reviews and specialty engagements for a diverse range of clients from the manufacturing, distribution, transportation, real estate, law, not-for-profit and investment sectors.  She has extensive knowledge of personal, corporate and non-resident taxation, and provides valuation services for EPR clients. Her area of practice includes estate and trust taxation where she assists clients with all related planning and compliance matters.

In recent years, Sheralynne has made presentations to a number of professional groups from industry and the non-profit sector on various topics including Canadian taxation for non-residents, personal real estate corporations, women entrepreneurs, and financial reporting for non-profits.

Sheralynne is also a dedicated ‘sports mom’ and splits her spare time between ice rinks and baseball fields cheering on her favourite teams.
