Robert Tanaka, CA

Bob is a Principal of EPR Coquitlam. After obtaining a CA designation in 1984, he spent a number of years with one of Canada's largest international audit firms. This was followed with several years practicing in private industry before joining EPR in 1994.

His experience in audit is diverse, ranging from mid-sized owner managed enterprises to not-for-profit organizations to large public companies. As senior audit manager, he coordinated the audits of Vancouver divisions of Toronto based companies and was also responsible for completing audit requirements for the Canadian subsidiaries of Japanese corporations and reporting to Japanese auditors.

Bob is the senior audit leader at EPR Coquitlam. As such, he provides senior level support, guidance and overall leadership in the quality control function. He conducts audits,reviews and specialty engagements for a diverse range of clients from manufacturing, distribution, transportation, hospitality, forestry, real estate, law and investment sectors.  He has extensive knowledge of corporate tax planning and compliance, succession planning, and advising on corporate reorganizations for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
