Review
In cases where audited financial statements are not required or shareholders have waived the appointment of an auditor, review engagements are used to produce needed levels of assurance for users of financial statement information. This is most common when businesses are approaching financial institutions for financing.
Unlike an audit, the review process does not involve a study or evaluation of internal controls. Rather, the objective of a review is to determine whether the financial statements are plausible and worthy of belief.
Through an investigative process, we examine the nature of assets and liabilities, accounting matters peculiar to your business and industry, sources of revenues and expenses and other matters that could have a significant effect on the information reported by the organization. On completion, we prepare a standard accountants report expressing the degree of assurance for the financial statements.
